Eric Peng

Dominion Astrophysical Observatory I am currently a Research Professor in the Department of Astronomy at Peking University and a Research Associate at the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics in Beijing, China.
NGC 5694 I study the structure and stellar content of nearby galaxies in order to better understand how galaxies form.  Currently, I am using images from the Hubble Space Telescope to study the globular cluster systems and nuclei of elliptical and lenticular galaxies.  For more information, see our STScI news release:

I am also interested in dark matter halos, and have used the velocities of planetary nebulae and globular clusters to measure the total masses of galaxies.
